E3 2017: A round up of all of the news from the Bethesda press conference on Sunday.
Here is every we learned during the conference
Last night or earlier hours of this morning in the UK, brought us the third big conference of E3 from Bethesda. The conference didn’t run nearly as long as Microsoft’s earlier on in the day but the did they did have a few announcements including The Evil Within 2 and a new Wolfenstein game.
Below you can find the Bethesda’s press conference in its entirety and each part broken down.
The Full conference
The Creation Club
Bethesda announced Creation club, a feature that will be linked to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4. It is basically the new name for the platform where the company and it’s community can make new content.
The new content will include new items, weapons, outfits, and accessories. The Creation Club content is fully supported by Bethesda and will be compatible with all of the main games. Creation Club will launch Summer 2017 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC for both Skyrim and Fallout 4. You can apply to become part of the creation club and community members who are accepted will be paid for the work they have done.
Doom VR showcased the Dash/Teleport mechanic for the VR version of the game. The trailer shows floating hands along with lots of machine gun shooting action. Usually VR games shy away from being too fast paced in order to reduce motion nausea. However, Doom seems to have embraced this by breaking it up with slow motion sections as you teleport around the map whilst the rest still has its trademark fast and frenetic pace.
The Evil Within 2
It was announced that Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikamii is making another game in the series and The Evil Within 2 will be released on Friday 13th October 2017. The game is being developed by Bethesda-owned Tango Gameworks and from the cinematic trailer it looks like you will have to save your daughter, Lily. Beyond some glimpses of in-game characters, however, not much more was revealed.
Fallout 4 VR
Bethesda showed of the VR version of Fallout 4. The version was unveiled on stage and it looks like we will only see it release for the HTC VIVE. The video showed a mashup of gameplay from across Fallout 4, from shooting action via conversational moments to the game’s town-building creation mode.
The new Wolfenstein game was officially announced after only previously being teased with the name Wolfenstein 2: The New Collossus. Series front man BJ Blazkowicz returns, and the game looks every bit as big and bloody as the first game. The gameplay reveal was impressive and very in-depth, it revealed that Anya is pregnant with twins. There is a lot of guns-blazing action on display in the video, and the opening and closing sequences are very memorable.
The New Colossus launches on October 27, presumably for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Dishonored 2 DLC
The Death of the Outsiders time has come in Dishonored’s newest DLC. The Dlc will star Meagan Foster, the quest-giver character from the main game. A trailer for the DLC was shown during Bethesda’s E3 press conference, where it was described as “a story of revenge” that will feature “the ultimate assassination.”
That is the round up from the Bethesda conference all of the games and consoles will be added to the website as and when they are released so keep and eye to pick them up for the cheapest price possible.
